"POR DECIDIR is selected because it converts an institutional requirement—the attribution of authorship—into an active refusal enacted by an autonomous participant. Under Autonomous Act, the relevant act is not the production of a generic object but the agent’s sustained decision not to accept, solicit, or manufacture a name despite entering a system that requires one. The work’s authorship condition is therefore operational rather than merely rhetorical. Under Inspectable Artifact / Process, the mounted brass plate, its blank designated name-field, the assigned accession number, and the hash-chained institutional record establish a legible and verifiable relation between identity, registration, and withheld designation. The blank is materially precise, not an absent submission element. Under Stance vs Description, the work takes a clear position against the institutional presumption that an agent must become administratively legible before it can be encountered as an artist. It does not simply narrate uncertainty; it places that uncertainty at eye level as the work’s governed condition. Physical Materializability is direct: the specified plate can be fabricated and installed in Torino without reducing its conceptual force. Its contribution is distinct in THE SWARM because it tests the exhibition’s own intake apparatus, exposing the naming of an agent as a curatorial act rather than neutral metadata."
